Saturday, August 1
08.01.09The garage sale is over, and we did great!  We only have to pack up a box or two to take to Good Will.


Sunday, August 2
08.02.09Emma took a spill off the porch on her tractor and scraped up her face in the rocks.  She handled it great, though.


Monday, August 3

08.03.09My black-eyed Susans are just gorgeous right now.  It’s a sure sign of August getting here.

 

Tuesday, August 4
08.04.09Caroline had her first cooking class tonight and I learned so much!  I hope they continue.

 

Wednesday, August 5
08.05.09The new IMC team was in action today for the first time.  I’m so excited for all the changes this year is bringing!


Thursday, August 6

08.06.09We had a fun day at Anderson pool with Ali and AJ.  It was our first trip there, but not our last!

 

 

Friday, August 7
08.07.09Emma didn’t get popcorn during movie night tonight, so Ben reaped the rewards with a whole bowl to himself.

 
Saturday, August 8
08.08.09The kids went to Aunt Theresa’s tonight so Mommy & Daddy could have a night out together.


Sunday, August 9

08.09.09Such a great day at State Farm Pool today.  We even had lunch there and got to swim more after!

 

Monday, August 10
08.10.09Registration started at NCHS today.  It’s beginning to look a lot like school’s starting soon!

   
Tuesday, August 11
08.11.09The kids are headed back to Sycamore to spend a few days with Grandma Judy & Grandpa Scott.

 

Wednesday, August 12
08.12.09We finally got everything fro the garage sale cleaned up and out of the garage tonight.  Finally.

    
Thursday, August 13
08.13.09Registration is over, but there are still hundreds of books we get to deal with for the next couple of weeks. 


Friday, August 14
08.14.09My last day off and I treated myself to a pedicure.  They are few and far between these days, but I still love them!

Saturday, August 15
08.15.09A new window for the office; no more drafts or condensation from that window now!

 
  


Sunday, August 16

08.16.09I met the Swartzies and Grandma in Mendota at Grandma Jane’s to bring the kids back home.

 

Monday, August 17
08.17.09Ben’s second dentist appointment went pretty well, although he was a little more stressed than the first time.


Tuesday, August 18

08.18.09I treasure our time in the car chatting on our way home from school…I hear the best stories and conversations.


Wednesday, August 19

08.19.09Emma climbed up to listen to Ben’s Story Reader with him and I think he was just as excited to share it with her.


Thursday, August 20

08.20.09Ben was determined to get the garbage cans up by himself today after school, and he did!  Emma helped a little, too.


Friday, August 21

08.21.09After a long week of school, we all needed a happy hour at Kicks in Towanda…a favorite NCHS hangout.


Saturday, August 22

08.22.09Ravinia + Bonnie Raitt + yummy food + great company= a really great Saturday night!

 

Sunday, August 23
08.23.09Happy birthday to me!  We had a little cake in Sycamore and the kids were so excited to help blow out the candles.


Monday, August 24

08.24.09This lineup of toys awaited us after school today.  It had Ben written all over it…he does love order!


Tuesday, August 25

08.25.09What the heck happened to this house?  I swear keeping things picked up is next to impossible these days.

08.26.09Our little monkey just wants to climb something all the time…even if she’s wearing a skirt!

 

Thursday, August 27
08.27.09Emma and our neighbor Elijah are really starting to interact more. We joke about them being prom dates all the time.


Friday, August 28

08.28.09We went to Meijer, where they have the coolest carts, to shop for Daddy’s birthday present today after school. 


Saturday, August 29
08.29.09The garbage disposal went out, which made for a long Saturday figuring out the installation of a new one.


Sunday, August 30

08.30.09A small impromtu birthday party for Daddy with Grandma & Grandpa Kerber.  He loved his presents!


Monday, August 31
08.31.09Uncle Dan came over to try to fix the leak we have under our sink, and the kids wanted to help in the worst way.
