She works hard for the money. Emma has been hauling Ben’s tools around for days trying to keep his hard hat on and fix everything.

We celebrated Emma’s birthday in Sycamore today. She absolutely loved her puppy cake that Grandma got for her!

Curtis’s confirmation took place during church this morning. It was very nice to be there and be his sponsor for this special day.
Monday, May 4
All the April showers mean Daddy’s a busy bee in the yard. It seems that he’s mowing all the time lately!
Tuesday, May 5
Emma has been helping out as much as she can with the mowing, too! Her new mower is definitely a hit.
Wednesday, May 6
There’s nothing better than sharing a good book together. It’s the most wonderful treat I get.
Thursday, May 7
Emma’s second birthday. It was low-key and nice just celebrating with our immediate family.
Friday, May 8
Even Mack the truck got put “ni-night” in Emma’s new baby bed. She loves that thing!

Inventory started at school, and as always it’s a daunting task. We’ll literally scan approximately 40,000 books in the next two weeks.
Wednesday, May 13
I worked on three paintings for a friend’s nursery most of the week. It was so much fun for me to get back to my art roots.

Ran a million errands today…getting retirement gifts, graduation gifts, and supplies for the party I’m throwing Terry.
Sunday, May 17
We all went to pick out some flowers at Growing Grounds. Ben got to pick out his very own flower for one of our pots.

We finally got Emma’s big girl chair picked up and strapped onto a chair at the table. It’s official…the high chair is retired.

Emma wanted to read Micky a book before we left for Danielle’s this morning. She did a really good job!
Thursday, May 21
Ben’s last day of NCHS preschool. While they had no formal graduation, they did make mortar board caps to mark the occasion.
Friday, May 22
Mommy was tired after a long day of hauling textbooks, and the kids wanted to rest with me. So much for my nap!
Saturday, May 23
Dave worked on his desk in the office tonight. There is so much sorting and organizing to do in there…it’s a bit overwhelming.
Sunday, May 24
We finally got to plant Ben’s flower. He will love to plant things as much as Daddy does, I think!

Beautiful weather means having the window fans in. Emma was tickled at having the wind in her hair!
